FOXBOROUGH, Mass. ― The first notes began blaring over the loudspeakers at New England’s suburban Boston training facility and Malcolm Jenkins began to twitch.
The song was “Atomic Dog” by George Clinton and the P-Funk All-Stars and Jenkins knew exactly what he had to do. Dance, and his teammates were more than eager to egg him on. So, as the Saints went through stretching drills, Jenkins got up and went through his stepping drills, showing off moves likely not seen since his final days as an Omega Fraternity member at Ohio State University. “Our theme some is like the Atomic Dog so when they threw it on, I had to do step right quick,” Jenkins said, a smile plastered on his face. “They were egging me on. I wasn’t going to do it, but they made me do it.” That Jenkins danced wasn’t a surprise, Reggie Bush said. “No, because we have quite a few guys with us that were in fraternities in college and we joke around with them about the little dances, the fraternity dance,” Bush said. “I don’t know what it’s called. I play football. I didn’t do the fraternity thing in college. They do it every now and then and they brag about it.” Link Back |
