The New Orleans Saints stepped onto the field for the first time as the defending Super Bowl champions,
Drew Brees and the offense got the ball first after the Saints won the coin flip and chose to receive. A quick three-and-out though forced them to punt which caused the first problem of the evening. Punter Thomas Morstead came out and booted a 49-yard kick to Julian Edelman who returned it 40 yards. Morstead made the tackle but ended up slamming his left elbow and shoulder hard into the turf. Morstead would remain down a while before being taken to the locker room. He came back out a short while later, caught a few snaps, but then got his shoulder wrapped officially ending his night. My sentiments exactly. I will say this though...it's nice knowing our back-ups have a lot of talent and are looking really good. Ramsey looked the BEST I've seen him so far throughout camp and preseason. Ivory held onto the ball. Hill ran strong. Casillas got in there with good hits and pressure. Arrington with a lot of action.
I like what I see. |

HA...me too! And I was going to check out the same thing.
I'll say this about Ivory though...after watching him in practice all training camp so far, seeing him actually hold onto the ball was fantastic. Thank God Ramsey finally looked decent too. |

yes ramsey looked good. were'nt expecting much after reading your reports, by the way thanks for them really helps a guy like me that just had a back surgery a few months back. its preseason like we said, a lot will get cleaned up by next week like kick off coverage. lol to start the game on offense 3rd and 8 or 9 and lance went 7 and out. things like that will burn coach payton's but and will be better as we go along.
