Pats greased their jerseys?
The talk this morning was the rumor that several New England football players were seen spraying their bodies and uniforms with a foul smelling lubricant just before last night's kickoff.
The New Orleans Saints tackled air last night as they lost to the New England Patriots 27-24. Yeah, I know it's a preseason game, and I'm not going to shake and shiver over the loss, but let's be real here folks. The Saints defense was far from being "swaggerlicious." The Saints' defense had no hop. No "woo-boppa-woo-boppa-woo-mao-mao." Their lack of closing out and finishing off New England ball carriers was not vintage Saints football. Preseason football games don't do anything for me anyway. I'm a "game-time" believer. If last night's game was a game that counted, I'd be smacking out some keyboard carnage right about now. Preseason is for the coaches and the guys looking to win jobs. I'll leave all the "real evaluations" up to the various coaching staffs. These are the games where fans practice some new recipes. Get together with friends and sip some fine liquid. It's also the time to evaluate those "first dates." You can waste some preseason tickets on a first date. Is she worth taking to a regular season game? Will she be fun to be around? Will she give you a kiss if the Saints win? Does she yell "defense!" when the Saints have the ball? Is she nuttier than a Payday bar? Guys need to learn this kind of stuff now. Not during the regular season. There is still plenty of time for the Saints to work a few things out. You guys just need to decide what you would do if she shows up wearing a beer hat. Pats greased their jerseys? | NOLA.com |

Foul smelling lubricant? Hmmmmm.............I wonder what it was? My guess is it was Pepe Le Pew! They got sprayed by a skunk. No wonder our players wouldn't get near them.lol |

the tackling sucked will agree there, but did anyone notice what plays that were being run against us. the quick outs the dumps the look-ins and the almighty comeback pass, yes the moss comeback pass. its the best thing to run on any team that has good cover corners. its a timing pass that worked for us also(colston) has it down pat. the quick out, if you miss the initial tackle u look bad and we did. what i'm trying to say is new eng. ran a quick ship on us, got pretty boy out of there and we looked silly at times. payton will right the ship.i was furious the way we played but after watching the game several times i'm not worried at all.

ITS PRE SEASON, come on are you serious, you want me to give you my best tackle in the preseason. You guys want to much for this D fense to be a dominant d, thats not us. 25th in the league is hardly making anybody scared, Payton will right the ship though and those tackles will be made by preseason game three and on in to the opener
