~ Houston Texans @ New Orleans Saints
~ Saturday, August 21, 8:00 PM Eastern
~ Louisiana Superdome in New Orleans, LA

So game one of the preseason didn't exactly bring about much to be excited about or to look forward to. A reminder needs to be thrown out there though that the preseason games are the first time these players are stepping into game situations in about six months. Rust and some off times are bound to be had.

Let's just hope that some of that rust is shaken off in the Superdome when the Saints take on the Texans.

The two teams practiced together this week and things seemed a bit mixed as they split the days as to who came out ahead. New Orleans appeared to get a bit sharper and better as the week progressed which makes it no surprise that that's when tensions began to rise as well. What has become a bit of a budding rivalry in past years, training camp was no longer smooth as a number of fights broke out on Thursday showing that the regular season fires are ready to be lit.

Expect the Superdome to be rocking on Saturday night even if it is just a preseason game because the Who Dat Nation is ready to see the black and gold back home. Hopefully though there are not nearly as many mental mistakes and the sloppiness is cleaned up. Coach Sean Payton and his staff are making sure the team knows they mean business as players were seen doing push-ups, running laps, and even being demoted due to errors in practice.

Talk about old school.

Busted VCR, no TIVO. Is there a website to watch the replay of tonights game? after 10pm?
The defense is going to get tested AGAIN tonight. Not worried about the 1st team, I want to see who we can count on to bring up the rear. I want to see pressure up front and solid tackling all around.

Think it's on NFL Network at either 11PM or midnight.
