The best solution I heard was to have the Ump look to see if the offense is coming to the line w/o a huddle, then if so, he goes to the old spot. If they are in the huddle then he goes to the new spot. This requires him to think and make a split second desicion and that might be too much.
Oh and give him a small helmet w/o a mask and some pads. |
