The two-point subversion
Glad we eeked out the win, but I still can't believe that call on the 2-point conversion overrule in favor of the 49ers.
To me, the replay clearly showed that VD didn't demonstrate possession or secure the ball until his momentum took him out of the endzone. That ball was moving around, he didn't have it trapped against his body. And looking at it full-speed, not even the 49ers fans thought he got the conversion. Did the officials look at that doctored composite photo that they showed on TV? I hope not, because they're supposed to use video replay, not a photo. How else could they see conclusive evidence to overrule the play on the field? The replay verdict came out too quickly and was very fishy. Again, glad it didn't cost us, just added to Brees game-winning drive career stats ![]() |
