NFC South
What are your impressions of the NFC South?
I think that the Saints are still the class of the south (I'm sure most of you feel the same way). I had a feeling that the Bucs would beat the Panthers but I don't think that the Bucs could beat the Falcons. I see it as (1) Saints (2) Falcons (3) Bucs (4) Panthers Saints win the division and Falcons get a widcard in playoffs |

Yeah Ice we are with you on that. We know each South game is brutal you can count on it. The Falcons will be tough and will be in it for the long haul. The Bucs beat The Panthers and The Browns and will struggle against tougher teams. The Panthers are a mess and could stay in the cellar until Fox goes and Cowher comes in.

(1) Saints 2.0 = Played good teams with very good defenses. Won even with the Saints O running on 4 cylinders. Our D is just as good as last year. TO city.
(2) Bucs 2.0 = Beat the panthers and the browns. Not very impressive, but they got the win. Yet to play a great well rounded team. (3) Falcons 1.1 = lost against steelers (not a great offense with a 3rd string QB, but good defense), Beat the cardinals ( another 3rd string QB with a bad offense and #26 OL and the defense is not good) We matched their score against the cardinals last year with Warner and their good WR's playing. Not impressed by the score. Played a good team and lost, played a bad team and won. (4) Panthers 0.2 = Destroyed by the giants, then the giants were destroyed by the colts. Destroyed by the Bucs. Looks really bad this year. |
Saints proved that pigs could fly in 2009.
Now its time for another miracle SuperBowl and go where no pig has gone before. Last edited by pherein; 09-23-2010 at 04:14 PM.. |

I'm with you ice. I see the Saints as #1, then the Falcons at #2, then there's a clear dropoff with the improving Bucs at #3 and I'm really surprised at the Panthers who are #4. I really expected the Panthers to put up a good fight in the NFC South this year, but it looks like they won't be doing much this season.

I think that every team in the South is dangerous. Don't forget that the Bucs were one of the only teams to beat US during our superbowl run too, so I'm not going to say they don't have any quality wins. Maybe not this season, but they beat us, in our own house last year.

I don't see Tampa Bay's undefeated streak going on much longer. They haven't played any challenging teams. Cleveland and Carolina are both jokes and the Squealers will dash their hopes of going unbeaten.
As for Carolina, see above post. The Falcons will start out strong, then flop midway through the season (that seems to be the norm for them.) Saints Falcons Tampa Bay Carolina |
