fumble pick sack penalties player injured and out for season touchdown kick on 3rd or 4th down and face the same odds for success When you kick from that range...it is either good, and we win...or they get the ball from the 20 and the game goes on. One other thing to consider. I'm pretty sure that a majority of coaches would have made the same call as Payton. If you decide against kicking it when it's a chipshot ...then you could be sending a message to your kicker. It could turn a slight mechanics problem into a huge head-case. I really do think that this entered into Payton's thought process. |
Whether you think you can or think you can't...you're right!
