Saints safety Sharper expected to be ready after Week 6?
Just before New Orleans Saints safety Darren Sharper(notes) became a free agent this past summer, he had to have knee surgery, thus killing his chances at any big deal. He's back with the Saints on a one-year deal now, but he started the season on the Physically Unable to Perform list, which means the team can't play him till after Week 6. A source told ProFootballTalk that Sharper ran at full speed before last weekend's game against the Atlanta Falcons. The source also notes, however, that Sharper had some soreness in his knee after doing so. So it looks like Sharper will be ready to go when Week 7 comes around. |
