It is odd how people have different perspectives.
We were loud on that last drive. We were loud at the start of the game. But, people sat down in their seats and settled down and were very quiet for a large part of the game. It was the quietest I have ever heard the Dome since before the Hurricane. |

Whoever said TV doesn't pick it up is correct--- I think they pick up what they want. |

I was there in the terrace, and believe me, we were in it, especially when
the game called for us to be in it. Especially on 3rd and 4th downs, we were pegging the red needle, dont worry. There were some lulls at times, but mostly during breaks. Two things: yeah, I agree noon starts are a little early for the party animals that WhoDats are. I personally had made one of our trademark flying trips from Houston-- worked till 11pm, hauled azz to Lafayette, got there around 3am... slept till 8am.... grabbed a junk breakfast, hauled azz, so I sometimes am not my wall-banging self. But when its time to rise, we all kicked in! Also, for regular season non-prime time games, you're going to get lulls. Compared to MNF, and playoff games, where the noise is non-stop. We're just fine, and if you could see us reacting to players waving us on, you could tell they were enjoying their home field advantage. We caused false starts again, and I think really put it to Carolina up on the closing drive, throwing in some noticable confusion. Jimmy Clausen said after the game we were the loudest place he's ever been. Also, the Pre-kickoff Dome WhoDat is outstanding. Jahri Evans, if memory serves performed this one. |

Nope, it was the long snapper Kyle and yes when we had to be loud we were but when you score 1 TD against a winless team some fans might not be as loud as they should be. |

On WWL the other day Greg Williams STRESSED many times how big a role the crowd played in the win this past sunday. He must have given a shout out thanking the crowd at least 3 times. You who were watching on TV probably know better than he would though.

I was there.
Fumbles in the red zone seemed to quiet the crowd. People were frustrated by the inability of our offense to punch the ball in, especially after the panthers special teams fumble netted a FG. Carolina's final drive was the loudest I heard the dome all day. |

just before kickoff the tv crew were talking above the crowd noise as if forcing there words. to me it was loud then. when the game started they,as the network definitly lowered the volume coming from the dome. the next game they televised was broardcasted full volume because it was outdoors. (it sounded like a don creeky live radio cast on westwood 1) and it was still louder than the saints game. so if this anwsers the question? yes they manipulated the sound.
