this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; My take... This season is missing 2 things... 1) Reggie Bush 2) Last year the ball bounced and tipped our way so much that it made up for 43 years of them bouncing and tipping the other way...now it's back ...

Personally, I think we'll be back too. Here's the only reason why.
Our team is still good enough to play so horribly against the Cardinals who, IMHO are not a great team but an NFL team none the less, and STILL had a chance at the end. Int was thrown, but that's STILL an opportunity. The Saints were out coached and outplayed at nearly every single level except for defense (D did not lose the game) and THEY STILL HAD A CHANCE! It boggles my mind. If changes have been made to the HEARTS of the team, and now that our boys are no longer the darlings of the media, I think we have a chance to come back too BECAUSE WE'RE UNDERDOGS AGAIN. Totally agree though... |

This fights far from over and we now know its not going to be a 1st round knock-out. Its as if fans and the team expected the January-February Saints, but what we got was the December-New Years Saints. I hope this weekend is solid.

We need another big weekend. Yes, you can make a statement vs. a team like the Browns. You've got to get in there, and beat them silly, and get out in one piece.
Im not the kind of fan who measures the opponent. Look at us vs. the Bucs last year. Same season we clobbered New England. But its time to take care of business. |
