this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Scott Fujita and Sheldon Brown also had interceptions for Cleveland. Fujita, a defensive leader for the Saints last season and a former fan favorite in the Louisiana Superdome, snagged his interception at the Cleveland 3 to thwart a likely scoring ...

We miss scott.
I have studied what teams are doing to us in the run game and they seem to run more and successfully off tackle and right to the flat... exploiting our OLB's. Our OLB's can't run down anyone or contain! Getting blown up and run-over. This game however the Browns did everything right... take Brees out of the game and generate points on ST's and trick plays. |

We have very small defensive ends; Will Smith is adequate at best, though he did turn one run back in very nicely while still engaged with a blocker... But we are missing Fujita's skill set and leadership, BIG TIME... |

Something's up--not sure what yet. But I don't blame it all on Breese, you've got to get open, catch the ball, linemen have to keep people off him, and he was a bit more harried than usual this season. Coaches have to watch for trick plays. I keep wondering who is supposed to plug that giant hole in the punt--who is supposed to notice that guy standing 40 yards across the field, and keep an eye on him. I guess they've got something to work on. I hated to see Fujita go--he was everywhere on the D last year. |

his interview this morning on sirius was telltale. he still praised the saints and the org. class class classy guy, then they asked him if his tenure with the saints help gameplan them and said no then turned it and said yes all the practices against drew help in knowing his faults or alignments and formations. i knew from past players that leave for greener pastures do and will come back to haunt us. we all miss scott and we all said keep him its an uncapped year pay the man and they said no. we all said ok. did we replace him i say not yet,
