Merriman passed his physical, so he appears to be over early-season calf and Achilles injuries. The Dolphins, 49ers, and Ravens have been connected with Merriman over the past few weeks, but they may wait to try to sign Merriman to a reduced deal after he clears waivers.

It's already November and he has no knowledge of Gregg Williams system. I'd say pass, go with the guys we got.

Danny Clark is better!! Merriman hasn't done anything since he got busted for taking steroids, Danny Clark is a team player and is really playing well at the minute that I think he should be the starter infront of shanle, in short, stick with what we've got lol

As a situational blitzer, he still has some value. But, as a high priced starter, he's done. They should re-sign Clark for next season based on his performance against the Steelers. Dude was a beast.

Signing him doesn't mean he comes in and starts. Anthony Waters hasn't done much to contribute. Why not bring in a guy that at worst could equal the production of Anthony Waters and at best could be a disruptive force and one of the best pass rushers in the league?

Merriman's signing isn't very likely, though.

I'd rather see us picking up a veteran o-lineman. It's already weak this year, if someone gets hurt, good Lord!!

Our D has been playing incredibly the last few weeks. If we have a roster spot I think it'd be better used elsewhere.

he'd be a better fit for the Ravens. Him and Ray-en-thal could start their own gang.

I seriously think Shawne Merriman should try out for the UFC. He's got the physique and attitude for it. I think his best football days are behind him.
