this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; what is "strength of victory?" Is that like college football where they give you Style Points?...

I.E. We beat Tampa 31-6, Atlanta beat them 27-21.. We had a 25 point margin thus a larger Strength of Victory. Keep in mind, that only comes into play if everything above it is a dead tie. |

All we need is to take care of business Sunday and have the Bucs win over ATL.
That happens and we are in the driver's seat for HFA. |

We've got five games left...and none of them are automatic. This is not a new rodeo. We really have to win Cinci and St. Louie games and then put together some of our best stuff in Atlanta and Baltimore to give ourselves the best chance. Ending the season at home against Tampa Bay may also cause a few ulcers. Tampa trying to make a statement, go down swinging, and play beyond themselves, and a couple of our guys don't eat their Wheaties...been there. We have to handle our business and get some help clipping the DirtyBird. We have to just settle into domination mode and let the chips fall where they may. We can beat anybody, home or away, when we play our brand of football.
