Even if we are a wild card ... We go to Seattle (probably) --- I don't see MATT HASSELBACK beating DREW BREES.
The playoffs are a whole new season ... We'll be fine. |

I know there's a lot of football left. But when you see the refs F*** up an easy call like the one in the TB game today, it's easy to get down on the rest of the season. My wife saw that call and a professional referee could not? I know we'll be all right, it's just frustrating as hell.

I've watched closely as Atlanta played the Ravens, the Packers, and now Tampa, and with my homer glasses off, I can honestly say it's hard not to come away from those games without feeling like there is, at the very least, a bit of a lean in Atlanta's favor.
I have friends who think all professional sports are fixed, and they point to the NBA as exhibit "A". I do believe the NBA is rigged. I always have and I've not seen anything that would cause me to change my mind, but the NFL is different. Still, I'm having a difficult time swallowing some of the crap I've seen take place during these Atlanta games. I cannot help but think Arthur Blank has a picture of the commish doing something in a hotel room with a chicken or something. Does anyone else find it completely odd how otherwise good football teams just can't get going against this team. They take one step forward and, quite literally, two steps back, and it is almost always due to the officiating and nearly never has anything to do with the players playing the game? The same is true for the Lions in reverse. The league is making blatant calls against the Lions and they are holding up in review. It's almost like the league doesn't want the Lions to beat teams like Dallas and Chicago, because crap calls are the only reason they haven't. Either the Falcons are the luckiest team there has ever been in professional sports or something's up, because they just aren't that good. |

i feel sgt. hulkas pain it was hard to turn away from how that freakin team gets away with all the BS calls in there favor. thats for tony gonzalas this cat is an academy award finalist. every game the clowns are down and need the 1st down to stay alive its going to him and he does the his favorite fall down tangle himself up with a LB or DB to get the flag and pose the hurt leg BS. i know hes a HFer, hes been around a long time and knows all the tricks to get the calls. but the way there getting calls is wrong. it changes history for playoff positions more than you would think. lets see i saw the baltimore game than could have gone the other way. and the game today with tampa, cincy was close green bay a call the other way may have changed the game. then the miss. dammed these clowns could have missed the playoffs all together. lol

I just can't see Atlanta losing to anyone left on their schedule but us, and 1 Falcons loss is not enough for us to win the division.
I guess Seattle could pull some magic out of their butt, but Carolina has long since mailed it in for the season. Tampa had the most to play for because their playoff hopes would get slim with a loss today. Only way Carolina loses on to ATL is if the Falclowns rest their players in the finale... |

And I certainly don't think we can't win it all from the #5 seed.
We would probably have STL or SEA in the wildcard, then have our shot at the Falcons (unless the #6 team wins). I also think if we play our game we could beat them in the GA Dome or on Mars. What I have seen of them has not made me think they are even close to unbeatable. |

The Bucs certainly didn't help themselves with some of the crap they pulled either.
They burn 2 timeouts on Atlanta's 1st possession and don't challenge a very bad spot. They got a 15 yd penalty on the Falcants and the next play they gave it back with one on themselves. The Saints have am un-opened bottle of MoJo from last year they are starting to drink from: They got the Bengals to jump on the 4th & Goal play. Palmer has a brain fart and doesn't call a TO with seconds left in the game. The Saints survived a complete meltdown in ST plays. The Falcants will find out that Lady Luck is a fickle bytch and she is a first cousin to Murphy of Murphy's Law fame. T |
