We saw Mike Bell the odd man out last year. I think that's Julius Jones this year.

Ivory has proven a ton in limited roles. Not bad for an UDFA.

Our scout RB's will have another chance to crack the squad, so that leaves us asking.... "Who can we get value for"?

PT seems to be the best option.

I hope all three stay but Bush is our "system guy" and Ivory is a great value. That leaves PT and the others like PJ and Lynell...

It's anyone's guess at that point.

In the draft, we'll need help at DT, LB, possibly RB and WR
PT has been shopped once already. NE wanted the house, pool, and 4 lawn chairs for him and i am glad Loomis didn't give it to them. I have a strong feeling PT will be shopped again after the SB.. We should be able to get a damned good deal for him.

Young back with 2 SB rings.... Should be worth a damned good DE and a few draft picks.

Very few running backs make it through a season without missing a few games. The way our offense is structured, we need multiple purpose personnel that can be somewhat interchangeable. The B-I-T combo have many similar skill sets, though Bush is the fastest and can create space, Thomas is the best blocker and runs better off screens, while Ivory does his best work in traffic. Each helps the other extend their capabilities: Bush sucked as a blocker and he's a lot better, Thomas is now better as an open field runner, and Ivory, well, rookies don't know anything but full steam ahead and he's learning everything (like how to hold onto the ball).

In my worst nightmare we would have to face Ivory a few years from now with another team.

Boy, people jumped off of PT's bandwagon just as quickly as they got on it.

Not too many RB's compile 100+ yards rushing and 100+ yards receiving in their first game as a starter. Against the Bears defense no less.

Oh well. Ivory is the shiny new toy. PT who?

We've got a nice little stable of running backs. Only thing is they are all injury prone or have a history of injuries. We lost Hamilton and PJ Hill early in the year. Bush broke his leg, PT was out for 10 weeks or so and Ivorys running style is gonna' get him hurt occasionally. I'd like to be able to resign Reggie at a lower cost and bring everybody to camp with trading options on everyone of them. Other teams have to notice how deep we are at running back.

That was 4 years ago. Since then PT has had a total of two 100 yard rushing games and zero 100 yard receiving games.

I'm still on that PT bandwagon, and have been since his rookie training camp. I'm 100% convinced he's our best RB

That shouldn't be a knock on PT at all... he's received 20 carries a grand total of 2 times since he's been here. When he touches the ball, he produces period... whether it's rushing or receiving the ball. PT is the best complete back on this team... which is why we utilize him in a variety of ways, not strictly regulated to running the football.

I was not knocking PT at all. It is just not good business to hold onto something that happened once 4 years ago.

With out a running game we are not a balanced offense. Our running game showed up with Ivory. Period.
