No division winner with an 8-8 record or worse should be allowed in the playoffs if there is another team with a winning record in the conference.

Reaching the superbowl this way, this year, is our own fault. We just have to overcome the mistakes that have put us in this situation. Getting into the playoffs is this first win, and thats almost assured. Getting to the big dance wil be the real challenge.

Don't get me wrong as a Falcons fan I love the idea of the Saints having to go to Seattle or Chicago/Philly on Wild Card Weekend this year if the Saints do indeed make it.
However it's nonsense to be making a team with that many wins potentially have to go on the road to play a 7-9 team. NFL needs to set the threshold at 8-8. If you break even you get the home game no matter what. Under 500 you are going on the road. |

Some how i think an 18 game schedule will kinda iron all of this out to a sorta even playing field with most teams claiming more injuries than they usually have during the climax of the regular season..

We will end up going on the road, but, let's look at from another team's perspective. Tampa and GB will both likely miss the playoffs with at least 2 wins more than the NFC worst. |

2 cents worth: Im not a fan of the bye. There should be 4 wild-cards or none.
skip the bye. |
