Admit that Billy. Look at what I\'ve written about Brooks in other threads before you freak out. But this one WAS Brooks\' fault. He threw five very dangerous and ill-advised passes today that could have been and/or were picked off. He had a bad game - like you said - it happens to all NFL QBs
Well, I haven\'t had the chance to go back and see the play to know for sure. I was going by what the announcers said and by what I read. But, I\'ll take your word for it.

Hey Billy - this is why you set people off. Man, just say - \"OK. I was wrong about that one. Brooks made a terrible read on that one play and it hurt the Saints.\" If you can\'t say that then you lose credibility in the eyes of a lot of people. It\'s obvious to everyone else. I bet Brooks will even admit to it. He\'s streaky - you said it yourself. We\'ll see if he develops into Brett Favre or Jake Plummer. Either is possible.

Hey, hold on just a second brother. First, I ain\'t really concerned about who I set off. Second, if I knew it to be a fact that Lewis didn\'t run the wrong route, I would say so. Third, I was willing to take your word for it, when EVERYTHING I\'ve heard says just the opposite.

Lastly, I know longer take your word for it and am going to go back and watch it to find out for myself. Geeez, I admit I didn\'t know for sure and I get drug through the mud for it ----

You need to learn to care. Quit being this way.

Man I make more mistakes than probably any memebers on here. I don\'t care. As long as they know what I\'m talking about.....

If I wanted to be perfect of impress folks, I would type everything in word and paste it on here. LOL -- Besides my typing being dangerous, my spelling seems to get worse the longer I\'ve been out of school.

When it comes down to it, there is no point in trying to hold a debate with you Billy . . . it\'s like talking to a brick wall.

seraph33 - I won\'t get into the personal attacks but I will tell the WHOLE story about Brooks. If you read my post, I said Brooks played terrible in the first half. As a matter of fact, I said \"Brooks Sucked\" in the first half. I guess I need to say it a 1,000 times to make folks like you happy?

But, I\'m going to tell the WHOLE story, unlike some fans who will NOT acknowledge that Brooks played a very good second half. I know this tends to upset the Brooks\' bashers who was calling for his head before halftime, but read your sports page this morning and they will tell you the samething I\'m tellin\' ya -- :P In case you didn\'t pick up your newspapaer, I posted the acrticle for you at the bottom of this post -- :D

As far as the interception that was thrown to Lewis -- it was reported that Lewis ran the wrong route, but I really don\'t know, so I\'m not going to sit here and pretend I do. I could be wrong about that.

Quote:

Brooks threw two interceptions deep in Saints territory that staked Atlanta to a 20-3 halftime lead. Tod McBride returned the first interception 15 yards for a touchdown. Juran Bolden returned the second 20 yards to the Saints\' 5 to set up an easy touchdown run by T.J. Duckett to make it 17-0.

Brooks recovered in the second half and overtime. He completed 11 of 18 passes for 133 yards and ran for 23 of his season-high 37 rushing yards.

On the game-tying drive, Brooks\' biggest completions were to Jerome Pathon, who had dropped three passes earlier in the game. There was a 16-yarder over the middle converted a critical third-and-15 and a 22-yarder in the teeth of an all-out blitz that moved the ball into field-goal range at the 16.

\"Atlanta did a nice job, they played their hearts out,\" Brooks said. \"I didn\'t play real well in the first half, but the guys got me up and we came out and fought until the end. We came together and fought over the adversity.\"

Guys, Guys, Guys...BOTH of those INT\'s are on Brooks. Nevermind whether Lewis rans the wrong route or didn\'t run the route properly. I am a fan of Aaron Brooks as everyone in here knows, but even I admit both of \'em are on HIM.

HOWEVER, on a day where his mistakes cost the team early, he came back in the second half and guided the team to the tying \"3\" with some hella throws in that drive, and the lazer to Horn in Overtime was exceptional too.

Sometimes Billy gets defensive of Brooks because on this board it\'s popular to blame Aaron for EVERYTHING. Blame where blame is warranted, but Credit where Credit is due too.

\"Tivoed\"...hmmm...is that in Webster\'s yet. If not it will be! LOL

Whodat, I don\'t beleive you watched it 150000 times either. Ease up on da Tang man!

:P

Here is what Haslett had to say about the interceptions looks like he put them both on Brooks.

\"He made two poor throws that cost us a couple of touchdowns, but the guy came out in the second half and did a great job.\" -- Haslett on Brooks.

saint5221-- Yep, I read that. I will step up to the plate and say that both of those interceptions were Brooks\' fault. It was reported that Lewis ran the wrong route, but I went back and watched it, and whether or not Lewis ran the wrong route, Brooks still threw a very ill advised pass that he never should have thrown.
