Green Bay - 20 Tampa Bay - 13
CP/AT YDS TD INT B. Favre 13/28 92 1 1 PASSING CP/AT YDS TD INT B. Johnson 17/28 149 1 2 These 2 teams will never make it to the super bowl with those inconsistent QB's. Oh, I forgot. Both of those QB's have won a super bowl. |

Tampa loses again
That is a weak attempt at a defense, but at least you didn\'t go comparing Brooks with Delhomme. Come on Billy even you have to admit that Brooks is not consistent. He\'s like John Starks (who was one of my fav Bball players). It doesn\'t mean he sucks, I\'m not saying that I\'m just saying he\'s inconsistent and it is hard to go all the way with an inconsistent QB.

The problem with some folks is they don\'t tell the whole story. For instance:
1. The first interception was because Michael Lewis ran the wrong route. The announcers said the samething about 3-times. Did you have your volumne turned down. 2. There were NUMEROUS dropped passes today. Did you not notice that too? 3. Brooks completion percetage for the year is just fine. It\'s more consistant than most QB\'s in the league. Do you not know that? 4. QB\'s make mistakes. It\'s the nature of the position. It\'s funny that y\'all talk about Brooks being inconsistant but the stats don\'t bear that out. Yeah, I know. Stats don\'t matter because I\'m just suppose to take y\'alls word that Brooks is inconsistant and ignore everything else. Brooks is doing just fine and it\'s funny how another QB wins a game that\'s all that matters, but when the Saints win, Brooks somehow is held to a different standard. Pretty hypocritical IMO. The announcer doesn\'t know the play that was called! The only way it could have been Lewis\'s fault is if he was supposed to run a slant but ran out, streak, or post instead. Do you see what Lewis ran? He ran a slant!!!! The corner was playing about 3 yards off of him and to the inside. The corner was in perfect position Brooks just didn\'t look to his left AT ALL. He just threw when he saw people coming. Even Brooks was patting his chest indicating it was HIS FAULT. It just goes to show how desperate you are Billy. Trying say that interception was Lewis fault is a flat out lie. It\'s sad that you can\'t hold Brooks accountable for anything, even when Brooks himself takes accountablity.

seraph33 -- Try to stick to the FACTS. Like the announcers said, when a receiver runs a slant route he should NEVER let the corner have the inside position. Anyway, I knew that since the 7th grade. Now you know it to. We have just increased your football knowledge...........

Learned that in eigth grade. No need to be snippy. The INT goes on Brooks\'s stats not the receiver\'s. Are stats important this week? |

If someone is gonna post nothing but the negitive parts of Brooks game, then they shouldn\'t get their feelings hurt when I set the record straight. Now, if you think I\'m skewing the facts, then point out where? |

Atlanta got on the board first in the 1st quarter on a 15-yard interception return by Tod McBride. The pass was intended for Michael Lewis who read the wrong defense and ran the wrong route. - www.neworleansprofootball.com

Tampa loses again
I gotta make a correction here. I had the game Tivoed and just went back. The announcers NEVER said Lewis ran the wrong route. What they did say is that he should have flattened his route to cut in front of the corner. However, technically speaking, he ran the route EXACTLY like it was designed. Now, I\'m sure Billy is still going to blame this one on Lewis, but it was clearly Brooks\' fault. I\'ve watched it 150000 times. Brooks was looking directly at Lewis the entire time. The CB started to break before Brooks even brought the ball up to throw it. It was a terrible read and terrible decision. Admit that Billy. Look at what I\'ve written about Brooks in other threads before you freak out. But this one WAS Brooks\' fault. He threw five very dangerous and ill-advised passes today that could have been and/or were picked off. He had a bad game - like you said - it happens to all NFL QBs.
