If Saints and Falcons Finish Tied
So let's say we beat those turds on Monday...and hell freezes over and they lose to Carolina following week...they still beat cleveland and arizona...and the Ravens. They STILL win the tie breaker in terms of common opponents. We're on the road no matter what. We can drop this game and cream Tampa Bay at the closer and still be in the same position. We can almost drop both games and still be in St. Louis in January. Right?

If Atlanat loses both games and we win both, we are division champs because of the 2nd tie-breaker - division record. we'd be 5-1 and ATL would be 4-2.
Its why I said the Ravens game was basically meaningless, unless ATL had lost to Seattle. We can clinch the 5 seed by simply winning one of our last two games. We can also clinch the 5 seed without winning, but we'd need some help from other teams. |

Can we get all 347 thousand "what if" threads merged and stickied?
Most if not all of these questions and scenarios have been asked, answered, and played out a dozen times. |

Atlanta cannot lose to another division south rival, otherwise Saints "COULD" come from out of no-where and take our division..
It doesn't matter how many other teams we lost to in the conference. If Carolina somehow show up and snap Atlanta after we beat them and Saints beat Buc's after we beat Atlanta we get the division Title. Essentially we'll be tied but saints would have more division wins than Atlanta.. "Division" wins count for the Division Title.. thats my understanding of it at least. that is also why Atlanta doesn't already have the title nor the HFA already, Philly could quite possibly get that and send Saints or Atlanta to the #2 seed. |

I look forward to the day when the toss of a coin tiebreaker is used.
The grief, the pains, the what ifs leading up to that will be a television epic. |
