NEW ORLEANS -- A 50-year-old Kenner man pleaded guilty on Tuesday to trafficking in counterfeit Saints football jerseys, authorities said.

U.S. Attorney Jim Letten said Bakir Rajkotwala, owner of Big Easy Gifts at 710 South Peters St., admitted to selling 58 counterfeit NFL Rebook Saints jerseys worth $3,500.

Wow! This guy is in big trouble.

Just to give you an insight to UK sentencing. I reckon this guy would be called up in front of the judge and he would be given a suspended community service charge.

I would be surprised if this guy really gets any prison time for this. However, there is a lot of this going on, and this may be seen as an opportunity to make an example out of this guy. My best guess is he will get something like a one year suspended sentence, about five years of probation, something like a $20,000 fine, then a big time lawsuit from the NFL. In any event, not a pretty picture for this guy.
