From what I saw last night he was never triple teamed, and I really can't remember when he was even double teamed. I saw a DB follow him when he went in motion, but thats not a double team.

Point to a play or two so I can educate myself. It shouldn't be hard if it was done on every play.

I'll rewatch tonight to see all of those double and triple teams I must have missed.

I didn't get a chance to see the game last night, but it's obvious in person. I doubt you'll be able to tell just by watching on TV.

You mean you can't tell if a RB is triple teamed on TV?

Hmm, thats a head scratcher.

So I wonder... if he's truly tripleteamed on every play, why in the world would he ever come out of the game? His mere presence gives you a two-man advantage everwhere else. He can't get hurt being a decoy. So why doesn't he play every down?

I did miss bits and pieces of the game here and there but... from what I did catch, even when Reggie motioned out on a couple of plays, there was no shadow on him. Now while the safeties and OLB did look his way, he was not doubled or assigned a spy... they just ran their defense. Colston on the other hand typically had a safety over the top and well covered. Once again though... I did miss a few series here and there.

While most teams typically give Reggie extra attention, I find that it wasn't the case last night.

That I can't answer. But I do know the average pass play when he's in goes for around 15 yards and only 5 when he's out. So he attracts a he'll of a lot of attention.

Drawing "a" LB is single coverage, not triple.

My comments have nothing to do with wether he made some good plays or not. My comments address the notion that he's always triple teamed, which based on what I see is totally incorrect.

It's all about playing your part, and at least Reggie is willing to do it. That block last night was a huge boost for me.

Is this what its come to? A blitz pick up?

Are we really heaping praise on an 8 million dollar RB because he blocked a blitzing LB right in front of him?

And what about the other two players? What did he do to them?

If he's being triple teamed every play then he's damn sure is worth the 12 million dollars he's due next season.

So if he's triple teamed on every play, and the other team blitzes, that leaves only 3 defenders to cover Moore, Colston, Meachem, Evans and Graham.

Thats at least two players left totally uncovered on every play. Dayum, no wonder Brees is so awesome. :p

How do you know who was keying on whom, Danno Defensive Coordinator? Isnt the idea to disguise your intentions? I can plainly see when Reggie touches the ball, three players pop up out of the woodwork.

You tell us which plays did they not have three guys watching Reggie.

I'll go back and watch game film tonight, and proceed to read their minds thru their helmets.
