Most Hated Saints Ever?

Ok who peeved you the most and why?

For me it was Carl Smith. We needed an offense to play with the 9ers back then and Smith and Mora was out coached every year.

Still, they all get honorable mention.

Gotta go with Ditka and the whole Ricky Willams debacle, give the whole draft to move up and draft him. What a waste...
Not to mention all the hype that came with Ditka himself...

I fault Ditka more than anyone else. He quandered many a game with poor clock management and bad judgement calls. Only thing I really give him credit for is going after Doug Flutie.

Venturi on the other hand, awful. People were always patting him on the back which I never understood. He was a hard worker but the results more often than not were highlight reels for other teams.

Those are all really good choices......the way Haslett and Brooks were joined at the hip used to kill me. Also, the Ricky Williams debacle.

My eyes just zoomed in on AB and Hasbeen! Haslett was good for a couple of years but AB just teed me off, ALOT!

All of the above!

Most hated has to be Jim "Hazelett" for allowing "He who shall not be named" to play regardless of the situation.

Carl Smith has to be mentioned as well. I can't count the number of times that I found myself screaming at the television because of his play it safe calls.

Bing... McCarthy was a great coach. Look what he did with Brooks. When he left, the whole team went downhill.

Man... I thought Jason David & Johnie Poe would walk away with this. Maybe I should have thrown in Josh Bullocks.

Johnathon Sullivan. The guy got his money and almost literally eat his way out of the league. The Saints gave up 2 first round picks for that guy.

The draft with Ricky was awful but at least he played and the Saints got some nice picks for him from Miami.
