How would you suggest using him? If Payton can't figure out the best way to use him, I doubt their is another coach in the league that can. Reggie can go and I won't care a bit. He has always performed just above being a liabilty, which is what he is this year.

He knows how to use him. Put him in motion, bump and go. Slot receiver. Pitches. It's just Bush is a huge tease for screens and such, and Payton can't not try it.

I believe Coach Payton knows how to use Reggie.

Give him some actual blocking to work with on punt returns, for one thing.
I re-watched that Arizona playoff TD punt return a few weeks ago, just for kicks, and the blocking was a thing of beauty...it was like an organized mugging out there...you had Cardinal guys ON THE GROUND trying to get up, on their knees, and Saints guys were standing over them like bullies, ready to push them back down again...and remember how everybody was raving about how Courtney Roby was running right with Bush, all the way, at the end? He was doing that to take out the PUNTER if he got close enough to make a play. Reggie really only made one guy miss him with an actual move, the rest was pure blocking. In fact it was a Youtube clip of "Reggie highlights" from the Cardinals game that I was watching. and the blocking on it was pretty incredible all throughout. There was one Reggie run where Nicks just creamed somebody, manhandled him completely as Reggie blows by, and we haven't really seen as much of that all year. |

In my opinion, Reggie gets jumped on pretty quick for the Punt Return problems, the coverage unit is far from stellar and bush has atleast 2 or 3 guys about to hit him when the ball arrives.
If anyone got chance to re-watch the saints vs falcons, bush's first punt return, he has 2 guys right next to him as soon as he catches the ball, the coverage unit needs to hold them up abit more and give him so more time. Yes reggie makes some dumb decisions, its not all his fault, but he needs to take what the defence gives him sometimes, rather than trying to hit the homerun everytime. Ivory as the back, reggie as a motion WR on and end around, get the D ends to stall for atleast a second, thats two players taken out of the play already, let ivory bull doze through, then let bush make someone miss in the open field, maybe an out route from the RB position. |

I still want to see him on a KO return.
Maybe with some initial space to work with he could work some magic... |
