Slow Start, Drew broke the Madden curse. No Super Bowl Hang over. The Saints made back to the Playoff. 0 - 4 on the road in playoff games. That needs to change.

This season sucked balls.

A "good" season is when you meet or exceed expectations.
Based on that, this is the worst season since Jim Everett was our quarterback. At least when we had Steve Walsh you could relish every win, because any time his arm could throw more than 12 yards, you caught lightning in a bottle.

I remember the way '84 ended, when a FG stopped us from a 1st winning season and a 1st ever playoff birth. And yes, I've had a day to calm down. This is the most disappointing season I've experienced.

Wow SM. All I ever hope for is to make the playoffs. Anything beyond that is nearly (although not completely) crap shoot. That's why it is (a) so damned hard to make the super bowl and (b) even harder to repeat.

I'm proud of the team and the record they accomplished this year. Sure I'm disappointed. Who isn't? Still, this year was not a failure in my opinion unless you want to say every year that falls short of a super bowl win is a failure. Too many injuries. Too many teams gunning for us.

No, this was far from my most disappointing season, and I'm already getting amped up for next year. We will be dangerous again. It's hard for me to ask for much more than that.

C'mon Man...

I dont think there's gonna be a next year. And the new 18 game schedule is gonna screw small market teams like us. Dont ask me for proof, I just know it.

I heard or read somewhere that the season (next season) will be delayed (meaning the draft or training camp could be delayed but that a missed season isn't likely. This makes sense to me.

Still, there will be more football and that's the spirit of what I was saying. That we are all hissed off because we didn't win the super bowl is proof that our franchise is finally growing.

I agree with mike. When playoffs were an afterthought for us, losing wasn't so hard. Losing to a "bad" team wasn't so hard. But being in the "elite" of the NFL, and letting one of the worst teams in the NFL come out and bomb the ball on you like Jason David came back to cover is VERY disappointing.
