-- write this down. the seahawks will lose next week by at least 20 points. they dont even belong in the playoffs, and apparently neither did we.

Mike,

How long have you been a Saints Fan?

Were you not around for the 1-15 season, where the city was cheering when the Saints beat the Jets on the road?

You weren't around for Big Ben I... and II. Or when the reincarnated Cleveland Browns and the Tampa Bay Bucs both got their first wins ever against the Saints at home?

Or the Saints losing on Monday night against the Raiders after going into half leading 35-0?

Or the 44-10 playoff beatdown at the hands of Vikings?

I was around for all of this. Since 1973. One bad game isn't going to define "the most disappointing loss in Saints History". To me that's still the 2006 NFC championship game at the Bears. And yes, I was there.

Super Bowl Championships: New Orleans Saints:1, Carolina:0, Atlanta Chokers: STILL ZERO

Only Atlanta choked in an unchokable situation... Life is definitely good.

'82. 1-15 was before my time, as I came aboard with Bum.

But yeah, I've seen all the Hail Mary's, River-City-Relay, Rams kick us out of the Playoffs, The Snake Stabler Horror Show in Dallas, Stable Horror Showin Dallas II-- that one was real special-- blew a 21 point 4th quarter lead. How bout Gerald Riggs runs the entire 3rd Quarter out on us--One Drive! 44-10 Vikings in Playoffs, Woulda/Coulda/Shoulda after we lose to 49ers 24-22, countless close losses to Joe Montana-- esp the 13-10 MNF, after we beat the living crap of them on the field all night. Richard Todd, Dave Wilson, Steve Walsh, Billy Joe's I & II, Chrissy. Before you go "Chopique" on me, bear in mind, I flew from Houston to Tampa in '96 to watch us vs. the Bucs-- Clash of the Awful. Hey, there were good seats available.

As for Bears '06, no, I wasnt disappointed at all by nightfall. We were 3-13 the year before, and NO ONE expected us to do anything, including ourselves. THAT was the year to be happy just to be in the dance. I was happy to have a team in New Orleans. I vowed to quit football forever if they moved to S.A, which is 2 hours closer to my house. But after the Bears game, I remember being pumped about next year.

No, I didnt expect us to go back to the SB this year, but I was crushed by the sheer ugliness of this game. Come on, man. I could have intercepted both of those rainbow TD's Hasslebeck threw. I dont know if Marshawn Lynch belongs in Top Ten Highlights, or if we belong in Football Follies. That was the most humiliating run play I've ever seen. We shut the door on ourselves every time a ball was kicked. Cant blame Reggie, as neither he, nor Lance Moore, nor Devery, nor PT, nor Meachem has seen a ray of daylight. Special Teams this year has been complete, 100% garbage.

Add that to the fact that there wont likely be a next year, with all the labor BS, and a new 18 game schedule, which I guarantee wont be a good thing for us, and all I got to say is I'm glad for my family, my trucks paid for, and crawfish season's coming.

Of course, we're renewing our tickets. I'll be back in the Terrace next year, if there is one. I wore Saints stuff to work today, and purposely left all my Saints flags & window paint on my truck, if that tells you anything.
Just thought it would be right.
