Fairley had an amazing game I'll give him that much. I could see him though struggling to pick up an NFL system. It took him a while at Auburn from what the coaches said. His body type also reeks of having a weight issue. He's real chubby in the face right now at the top of his game. If an NFL coach is happy with his weight when he shows up I'd be surprised.

Besides one game in his career, being that we need to upgrade our pass rush, nothing in his 4 year career suggest he's that guy for us. He's played in the Big 10 for 4 full seasons and it's not like he's been playing against the creme a la creme of football teams. He should have absolutely dominated that conference and the other teams he played against... yet he didn't. Now could he be one of those guys that are better in the pros than in college... sure. But to put him up there amongst the top players in the draft because he had one great game would be foolish in my opinion.

Mario Williams is an exception, so it does happen. I really like the kid, but its 100% because he's Craig's son. I'd be hesitant unless there were circumstances we don't know about. But also at pick 24, he's probably no more questionable than anyone else is. |

Have you guys ever watched Von Miller play? He's a one-dimensional linebacker... he excels rushing the edge, but really doesn't have the other skills needed to be a top 15 pick. Seems like he'd be more of a specialty 3-4 kind of player.
I'd say pass on him, and focus on a more complete player. I would love to get Ayers, that guy is always around the football. |
