We need a serious running attack. That's the fundamental reason we fell short. Brees is great but no QB is good enough to carry a team with his arm alone. Ditch all these prior injury guys and get a solid SEC back that can handle the hits. I have faith in PT and Ivory just no faith in their ability to stay on the field. Cut all of them and start over. Let them go somewhere else and get injured again.

this is getting ridiculous. basically people are wanting a whole new team. if harper had a good game vs seattle everyone would be saying how good of a year he had. our o line isnt that bad. stinch and bushrod werent all pros but much better than other options and much better than most teams tackles. our Lbs are garbage, DL needs to up grade and we go back to superbowl. our D gave up 41 pts and it is too hard to out score 41 pts. we didnt even have a rb and we still scored 36 pts. we havent had one all year really so yo can add that to the wish list justifiably. but people are sounding absolutely crazy right now.

We have three weak points on the current Saints Roster:
Running Back - Need a bigger, stronger back, comparable to Deuce, to split the load. Defensive Line - Low Return on Over-invested Ellis; need a comparable Defensive End now that Will Smith is finally playing to his potential... Strong Safety - Roman Harper has been exposed over and over and yet some people still don't get it...he can't ball... |

The Saints do have some glaring weaknesses on their roster. The first thing the Saints should do is get their running game back to where it needs to be. Once that is done, most everything else will fall into place.
As for the training/medical staff, that has been a big question mark for years now. I will say with maybe a handful of exceptions, the injuries did not appear to be conditioning related. Of course, additional help is still needed on defense. Gregg Williams is doing a heck of a job, but seriously, more talent is needed. I am fine with the secondary, very concerned with the front 7. Even fine with Roman Harper, but some additional help is still needed at safety. Harper is simply not a good cover guy, as is the case with many SS in the league. |

this is starting to sound like atlantas melt down on their boards. just relax. as long as we have brees we will be in every game. we havent gotten blown out in years. we cut a few wet farts this year...no big deal. we have injured players coming back that hopefully can play that will make our team better and we have the draft and free agency. EVERYTHING IS GOING TO BE ALRIGHT.
