I guess you can't go back in time and undo such a mind numbingly incomprehensible performance against the Seahawks.

What could have been.

When healty, without question we are the best team in the NFC. Injuries killed us, but alas thats part of the game.

We're a fragile team, thats gotta change.

No. This year we lacked the same desire and intensity that took us to a championship last year, but that's understandable. The team, the coaches and even the fan base was exhausted coming into the season. Personally, I only attended three games this season, same reason, I was just not inspired to do so. I think we'll be back to last years level again next year because personally, I can't wait to see the schedule so I can make plans to attand the colts, texans, giants, falcons, bears and any primetime games we have.

I think we could have easily beat the Bears team or the Green Bay team that showed up yesterday. However, if we were still in it, and if Green Bay would have brought to us the same game they brought to Atlanta, we would have had a tough time. Not saying we would have lost, just saying it would have been tough.

Whether it's injuries, fatigue, desire, inconsistency etc., the Saints proved that they were not the best in the NFC. The loss against the Seahawks is the blatant proof of that.

I don't think that the Saints would have beaten the Packers yesterday. The Bears have a much better defense than the Saints so we might have seen the same outcome as the Falcons game last week.

I agree with poydras. I didn't see the same intensity as last year in the post season. It was like all they had to do was get into the playoffs and the championship would take care of itself.

The Packers are/were the best team in the NFC, they have 18 players on IR and are still getting it done.

We are the team to beat when we are healthy which we haven't been the past two seasons. Last year, despite all the injuries we got it done because of all the takeaways we forced.

This year, we had injury problems on the offensive side of the ball and the takeaways didn't happen as much. We could not get any pressure, pretty much leaving our secondary in a bind too long.

Next year; we keep our running backs healthy, find ways to get pressure, and takeaways or no takeaways we make another run at the Lombardi...
