His family probably feels more comfortable there than here.
I thought about that too but it still kinda smells.

Were the Steelers disrespected when they beat the Seahawks to win the Superbowl, and their head coach (Bill Cowher) lived, not in Pittsburgh, but in North Carolina?

Did the Colts feel disrespected by Tony Dungy, who continued to make his off season home in the Tampa Bay area while coaching the team?

It's not like it hasn't happened before in the NFL. Remember, Payton wanted to remain in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex when he signed on to coach the Saints. Benson and Loomis told him then it would be better to live in the area, since it was trying to recover from Katrina. That necessity is no longer there.

It looks like we have come to reason with this issue, but it was a bit shocking at first.

Yeah but it still smells. It's sorta like a good dump. You don't really want to be in there because of the smell but it feels good afterwards! lol

His wife was very supportive of his decision to take the job....now she wants to go back to where her friends are and let his children play with their friends. More power to you coach.

I dont think you got nothing to be sorry for, even if you werent joking. It is weird to me, and remember, I live in Texas, why this move happened. Not that Im particularly fond of living in Houston, or any city, for that manner. I like Texas, and I love Louisiana. But I cant say I understand the coaches decision to live in Dallas, or how you make that work. Hell, personally, I'd rather live in Thibodaux, as you know. But I dont see whats wrong with NOLA. Seems to me it is what you make it. If I had a vote, and I dont--- I'd vote for them to stay close to work.
