Derek Ross released???
Was just announced on the radio that his locker is empty. There has also been talk about releasing someone to make room on the roster for someone else. Was impressed with this guy's stats his rookie year last year. He was the #2 CB behind Newman until he was injured early on in the season. Alot of upside with this guy, but he has off the field problems, ie, he likes to drive....real fast. I think he had over 100 citations his last year of college.

Derek Ross released???
I say put a claim on him. Even if he\'s banged up he\'d bring some competition into camp next year.
Of course we\'d have to cut somebody. Who? Harper? McAfee? Gleason? I\'m sure Ross can probably play special teams, only being in his 2nd year. |

Derek Ross released???
Here\'s the skinny on this.
Cowboys | Ross Released - from www.KFFL.com Tue, 2 Dec 2003 11:35:26 -0800 The Dallas Morning News reports the Dallas Cowboys have released CB Derek Ross. Ross served as the Cowboys\' nickel cornerback and kick returner. He fumbled twice in Thursday, Nov. 27, game against the Miami Dolphins, missed a practice on Friday, Nov. 28, as well as hospital visits by players on Monday, Dec. 1. I wouldn\'t look for the Saints to move McAfee or Gleason, they are mainstays of the special teams. |

Derek Ross released???
He\'ll be on a team by tomorrow. My guess would be Detroit. On the special teams note, he was the punt/kickoff return guy for Dallas. Apparently Parcells is trying to send a message to the rest of the team that a careless attitude won\'t fly in his system. During a preseason game against Pittsburg, he snuck out of his room and was busted. I think the reason for him being cut has been mounting since before the season began.

Derek Ross released???
The Saints were one of ten teams to put in a claim for Ross. Well maybe he and Vick will help them beat the Panthers this week at least.
