this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I would much rather have Lance Moore on the field than Devery Henderson. I really don't see much difference between Meahem and Henderson....

There was another one 12ft high on the sideline that tipped his fingernail in the Cleveland game, that to me...doesn't even count. I gave him props for just getting a fingernail on that thing with the attempts to try to land with two feet in bounds.
Moore has what NONE of the others have: CONSISTENTCY! Quickness, seperation, adjustments and hands are unmatched on our squad. He has, IMHO, earned a long term contract and should be pissed with YET another 1yr tender. The BIG question is, do you leave Drew Brees and a Sean Payton offense for money, a mediocre QB and poorly designed routes? I would hate to see him go. I'd rather see Henderson go. Moore should have gotten the Henderson deal two years ago after leading the Saints when Colston was hurt. I wouldn't blame him for walkng if offered 4yr guaranteed money and DO NOT look forward to seeing our results if he's missing in the slot and across the middle. He has been our safety net, our catch-all, if you will. It wouldn't be the same without him. Henderson, however, we can live without. |

before everyone gets all bent out of shape please remember that marcus colston repeatedly gets doubled leaving lance sometimes wide open and lots of times justs having to shake a backer underneath. he is worth a multiyear contract and seems like the FO is going to let someone else make the call what he is worth. or is it there not in no hurry to make an offer to see if there will be a free agency at all.this CBA bullcrap needs to be settled so we can get this thing going. lance is worth a longterm deal but seems loomis and co. thinks hes part of a group that makes him what he is. to me hes worth a 28 mill deal over 5 yrs with 8 to 10 up front. give him something for the bank instead of these one year min. deals thats pissing him off.

Lance Moore and Marquez Colston both bring an X factor into the game that the Saints can't afford to lose. That's not easy to do with out a true number one receiver.
