Poll (Round 2)
4. GMing. I think we need to do a better job of getting talent here and keeping it. I don\'t know if talent evaluation is as much a problem as properly utilizing that talent, and keeping it around long enough to build a winner. Yes, we needed to upgrade last years defense. It had some exploitable holes. But a wholesale top to bottom rehaul was probably unnecessary, in hindsight. I think Knight would have been adequate if we improved speed everywhere else (CB and FS). I don\'t think it was a mistake to let him go, but he sure would have been nice to have when Mitchell unexpectedly went down. I think Glover was our only major mistake. But a MAJOR one indeed. Roaf would have cost us a flipping fortune to keep and we were in salary cap hell, and he was unhappy here and wanted out. Turley was a decent RT but a lousy LT and wanted elite LT money to stay. (remember he rejected a very good offer from us). |
Whether we agree or disagree; its all for Him.

Poll (Round 2)
No B&B - haven\'t you heard Benson? He\'s broke. That\'s why he may have to move the team.
10% think Haslett should be head coach next season. 20% think Brooks should continue to start. 10% think AB hurts more than he helps. Seems like the problems are pretty clear to everyone... unless your name has a B an I two Ls and a Y in it. |

Poll (Round 2)
WhoDat -- for the most part I have really enjoyed debating things with you. I have enjoyed debating several members here. Now, you along with Gator want to bring it on a pesonal level. You 2 are incrediable. It\'s just like saintfan said. The \"good \'ol boy network.\" If I don\'t agree with WhoDat or Gator, then I\'m pathetic. But, let me call someone pathetic or say some of the samethings about someone and god only knows what would happen.
The only one that is discourging members from posting on here is you 2. Not eveyone thinks Brooks should be cut. Maybe on here. But, believe me when I tell you I\'m not alone. Check out some other saints sites. If y\'all don\'t want anyone posting that is pro Brooks, I\'m sure you guys are accomplishing that. I\'m getting close to not wanting to post here anymore myself. |

Poll (Round 2)
Good points Tweeky.
I guess, I can\'t help but feel that our offseason was a bit awful. I too am pretty bitter about losing Glover (and Sammy too). It seems like we bring people in who are long shots or are moving toward the end of their careers (or who are hopelessly over weight). We need to make better bids on players who are coming off their first contracts, players who have a some upside, but who are still proven NFLers (no duh, right?). I just can\'t help but feel that moving so many people in and out of our system and not bartering for players (we do a decent job of getting draft picks) is a serious problem here. Maybe it is coaching, but we know that I\'m reticent to say that... So, I guess I like to blame the GM first; I suppose, I don\'t have much of an argument for that yet, but when I do, I\'ll let you know. |

Billy - you don\'t think Jim Haslett or Aaron Brooks have anything to do with the Saints\' problems - or maybe very little to do with them. Everyone else seems to disagree. That\'s not a rip, it\'s a statement of fact.
Tell us again about how the Saints are going to be 13-3 and Brooks is going to go to the Pro Bowl! I love that one! |
