That would be considered tampering by the league

Tolliver would be a great addition for the Saints and would develop quickly.
Problem is: Too many WR's already; we're still trying to find Arrington some PT so he can become what we traded back into the draft to get... |

WR are the least of our problems. We've got more than we can use already and the ones we have are all good. Let's look around and see if there's a diamond in the rough D-lineman or linebacker, or a punt/kick-returner/special teamer hiding in the shadows.

Yes, UDFA can do the unorganized work outs. ESPN said that at the Saints "player" practice, veterans, rookies and UDFA were at Tulane.
Back to the subject at hand.... I don't think there are many bigger "Homers" than me when it comes to LSU, but I'd have to pass on Terrence. I totally agree with darstep. The last thing we need is another WR. Go find some D-linemen, LB's and an O-line man. |

We have more pressing issues than wide receiver.....in fact we're deep enough to trade a receiver. Just Sayin'.

Remember we're going to roster 80 to 100 players this offseason with UDFA's and non-roster invitees, we're not going to invite strictly one group of positional players. There's nothing wrong with bringing a WR, P, K, RB, QB... whatever position in for a look see. It doesn't need to be regulated strictly to positions of need. I don't understand they complaints of bringing in a guy that has some talent like Tolliver in for a try out... it's not like we're guaranteeing these guys anything.
With an NFL roster being 53 and supposely our biggest need is at LB, should we invite 57 LB's in for training camp? All this unwarranted silly talk. |
Everyone is entitled to be stupid, but some abuse the privilege.
All little common sense goes a long way. |

Tolliver needs to camp with the team that gives him the best chance to make it in the NFL ... I just don't believe that's the Saints. It's not that we shouldn't invite him, but he should decline our invitation and go some place else where there is a weaker receiver crew.

I'd love to have Tolliver as a fifth to develop, if...
Arrington could be moved to the 3rd receiver... Henderson could be traded for a LB or S... If Reggie stays (which I hope he will), I'd move Moore and his fair catch return ways... Tolliver has first round talent... He just needs the right system to develop; and, can you think of a better system in the NFL? |
