Yeah, thats how I see it too. I don't think he was ever fully recovered from his microfracture surgery last year. Older guys take longer to heal so if hes back to form , lets keep him this one last year and see how he plays. Plus he really lays people out, the guy will flat nail you.

I agree that if healthy I would let him play as long as he wants, but that's the tricky part of being a GM. When is it time to fish...and when is it time to cut bait?
As far as the player is concerned there are two factors. The money, of course...who wouldn't want to work another year for a few million...and then there's that thing where the brain is saying go and the body is saying no. |
