Bring him in. If he's fully recovered and outperforms his competition, then he's on the 53.
Just don't cut some up and coming player with good long term potential just because Darren Sharper wants to play another year. |

he may lose his free ticket this year, we will need more comakassees for special teams. if he is on the club he won't be active plenty weeks.

if he wants to retire a Saint.....I say bring him back.
He can teach our new and current DB's. I think he has earned a free pass to retire. I jsut like the rest of you know he will get picke up by another team, it's not like he is washed up. I think it is a complement to the Saints that this is where he wants to finish his career. |

If he's healthy and earns his keep he stays and plays. If we are just looking for his leadership and experience, or help to prepare the up and comers, then hire him as an Asst. DB coach...for much less.

Sharper can help, much like with Carney last season. He'll get some time in if he stays on team

Personally, I believe that Darren Sharper is the glue that holds our defense together. He was the missing piece that we needed for our Superbowl run. Sure, he's a little slower but he is still an impact player and QB's don't like to throw in his direction. I believe that he has the stickiest hands on the roster and that alone sets him above the others. He would wear down toward the end of the season if he was a starter but as a rotational player he could still make some good things happen.
If he leaves here someone will pay good money for his leadership and veteran savvy. |
