The best teams have players that understand that EVERYONE has a role to play. If Sharper goes into camp and wins the spot....he starts. If he loses the spot, he just became a role player. Jeez, what is he 42 now? Come on Darren; be realistic and not your role.

yea really...i was starting to get sick of this guy last season when jenkins went down. he was a huge weak link vs the seahawks and he stuck out like a sore thumb to me. i will be happy to see him go honestly. hopefully he goes to another team in our division so i know we will be going against a weak player

It's all role play. Starting roll, backup role, fill-in role, stand-over-here-with-me-until-I'm-ready-for-you role. 53 play their role, +4 practice their role, and another dozen wait by the phone and hope to get a role. We love Sharper, but he has to earn his role, and he'll get the one that fits his performance.

there is a big drop off on FS production with jenkins vs sharper. 09 he was good. last year not so much. maybe he was still shaking off his injury but im not sure how someone at his age rebounds from that type of surgery. it took him a long time to heal thats for sure

Jenkins doesn't have the instincts that Sharper does. GW ought to be able to get them both is the game and share time.......yes Sharper will probably not win the training camp battle, but he would be good for a few interceptions when he's in the game. He would be very valuable down the road going into the playoffs. Although I can certainaly understand Sharper wanting to start.
