Three league sources tell Yahoo Sports that the Saints gave Reggie Bush permission to speak to other NFL clubs in February.
The Saints and Bush were working on a restructured deal, but at the same time the club was permitting Bush to gauge the interest he might receive on the open market. All three sources tell Yahoo that Bush "expects that he will be playing for another team next season." One source named four teams as possible suitors for Bush: the Giants, Dolphins, Steelers, and Seahawks. The Eagles have also "expressed strong interest" in Bush. Reggie aint going no where if he has any sense. Brees will get the most out of any receiver or any other offensive weapon. if he doesnt know that and wants another team he is just plain greedy because it would have to be for a money thing. If he stays here, with PT and Ingram and Ivory he will add a couple years to his career and he will be a td machine. no one is as good as bush from the 10 yd line when he has fresh legs. that is just what he will have if he stays here in that stable of a backfield we have now. stay here, be a td machine and punt returner. he goes somewhere else he will be forced to run between the tackles and do things he isnt great at until the team learns how to use him like payton has done over the years.

Reggie Bush disputes a Yahoo Sports report that the Saints gave him permission to speak with other NFL teams prior to the lockout.
"LOL! Absolutely not," Bush replied when asked about the report's validity. "For the second time, no," Bush responded when asked again. Yahoo Sports reporter Jason Cole is standing behind his story, which cited three league sources. "That's fine, (Bush) can say whatever he wants to say," Cole retorted. Cole will be on WWL Radio in New Orleans Friday to discuss the story. Source: WWL-TV 2 New Orleans |
