Texas Who Dats
My fellow Who Dats that live in Texas. I drive close to 100 miles a day for work and during this travel I see all sorts of license plates. Just recently 1 of our vehicles needed new plates and my wife order a specialty plate which says God Bless Texas. So as I was checking on line when the plate would be ready for pick up, I noticed a link that says myplates.com so I click on it and discovered you could submit your own plate for approval. There are several out of state college plates on the site. Of course there is a fee which is refunded if 500 plates are purchased. You can even have proceeds from the purchase of the plates donated to a charity. So with that said I created a simple little plate on the computer this morning and sent them an email. They responded with a form to fill out and if there is enough interest I might proceed with it. Might even contact the Saints or if someone else wants to help with this find a players foundation that might want to sponsor this especially a player from Texas (Drew Brees). I'm not an artist but here is what I came up with. This is the first draft. Let me know what you think.

Short and simple. Plain. Simple to read. To the point. Clever.
Said in fewest words and symbols possible. Old gold coloring. It is pretty. Can you post the potential lic.plate up? I like it. You are bold, gutsy, to want to put SB XLIV and Saints symbol and Who Dat at the bottom on your lic. plate and drive around here. LOVE IT!!! Go for it!! |

My guess is that there are more than 500 WhoDats in Texas that would go for that. Do the Saints need to be contacted for any of this to be approved? | |

Here's the deal. There is an application fee if the plate is approved which is $4615 for the design and production of the plates. This fee is refunded once 500 plates are sold. I personally don't have $4615 lying around to do this but if we come up with 500 people that's only $9.23 a person which is actually refunded or if someone has a contact with the Saints and can explain what we want to do they might have a player interested in sponsoring the plate for their charity foundation and receive proceeds from the sale of the plates. I have a brochure and I'm willing to proceed with this if there is an interest when I have time. This was just a thought when I saw all these different plates that they have and I hate it when I see a cowboy plate. This could lead to a summer gathering over beers for discussion.
