I doubt that Reggie will sign elsewhere, mainly because no team will be willing to pay him more than Loomis would.
So don't look for Reggie on the waiver wire anytime soon. As far as LaConfora is concerned, he is just going out on a limb in the hope that he is right eventually. Then he can say "See, I told you so." |

I bet somebody will splurge on Reggie... all it takes is one. Obviously I'd like to see Reggie stick around because of the matchup nightmares he can create, but honestly, I think the bigger reason I want him to stay is that I'm scared that if he leaves he'll magically "put it all together" and haunt us down the road. Probably unrealistic to expect that given we have a pretty big sample size on him, just a fear.

Actually I think LaCanfora is pretty well respected if memory serves. I'll just say I give him a good deal more credibility than I do most others.
At any rate, I can see Reggie leaving or staying. I'm pretty sure Loomis already knows to tell the truth. Neither he nor Payton are going to get caught off guard one way or the other. As for me, I hope he stays, but I'm sure I've said that in at least 10 other threads since the offseason/lockout started. The truth is he's a luxury we can't afford at 11 million, but then again, neither can anyone else... |

If he stays in NO it will be because he doesn't care about the money and just wants to stay a Saint...and I can't recall anyone in history doing that. This isn't the biggest media market in the world and someone like Reggie can make megabucks outside of the field in a larger market...even if he isn't racking up the stats like other players. He has already created his "persona", IMO. |
Whether you think you can or think you can't...you're right!
