Reggie's days of PR and Kick off have quickly gone in the toilet. Yeah, He had a once in a lifetime of a game against Minny a few years ago. But in the past couple of years he has lost yardage, fumbled, or just let the ball go over his head and the offense gets to start a drive inside the 10.
Yes, Reggie does a lot of jobs..... but lets be realist here. He sucks at most of them, and IMO, he is just trying to make himself seem indispencable. The more you "can" do, the more "They" need you. Reggie is failing the "CAN" part of it. |

Running b/t the tackes his weakest area without question. My point is if he is relieved of those duties and works on returns and being a part-time receiver I could see him having solid numbers. If he is signed as a jack of all trades again though it will be exactly what we have seen the last couple of years; fumbles, lost yards, tripping over his own feet.

I have a Love Hate Love relationship with Reggie. I deep down in my B&G Guts want him to prove people wrong. To include myself.
I agree with you Beast. He needs to be striped of all of those duties and focus in-on what he is best at. I blame the coaches for this. They really didn't know how to use Reggie and searched for every possible thing that he could do, except play defense. Reggie is great as a receiver and sometimes as a PR. I dunno, I think the Lockout has everyone on edge for the past few months. |

Sap I couldn't agree with you more. What he's good at are the same things he was good at in college; a very good receiver, scatback, and he likely would be a good returner but I firmly believe he has had entirley too much on his plate and to me that has to do more with coaching decisions.
They experimented and I don't blame them, it just didn't produce the results they were aiming for. Wherever he plays next season I hope someone has the insight to stop using him as a general purpose cleaner and use him as directed on the label. |
