This kid will be a mess before the season starts. He brought a lot of it on himself but I think that he's just made bad decisions. He's not a bad guy. Just dopey.

Please end the lockout.

A decent NFL player with a unique skill set, Bush is a running back who can cause matchup problems when used as a slot receiver. Five years ago, though, he looked like an absolutely transcendent talent in the Coliseum: A franchise running back who could redefine the position with his receiving skills. Unfortunately, he hasn't played all 16 games since his rookie year, and he has never shown the good vision that is a trademark of great NFL running backs. He's averaged just 4 yards per carry over his career, and by Football Outsiders' DVOA ratings, he's contributed just one above-average season carrying the football, and that was just over 70 carries in 2009. He'll never be the superstar he looked like he'd be in college, and the Texans have been vindicated for passing him up for Mario Williams.

While I agree with every word of this comment by ESPN, for them to cast Reggie anywhere close to a bust of any sort shows a total lack of knowledge about NFL football and the NFL draft.

I thought they were more insightful than this crap.

With Super Mario:

2006 4th
2007 4th
2008 3rd
2009 2nd
2010 3rd

Vindicated? Saints have 3 post season efforts resulting in a NFC title game and a SB win. I think he meant lubricated.

What is Bush without Payton?

This we'll soon find out.

What is Payton without Bush?

Still an offensive genius. Shouldn't miss a beat.

We may soon find out...

NFL Network's Jason La Canfora reports that the Dolphins will pursue Reggie Bush after the Saints release him.

"From what I'm gathering, the Miami Dolphins might actually set the market for Reggie Bush," La Canfora reported on Total Access. La Canfora also mentioned the Eagles and Rams as teams likely to have interest, but he was the most adamant about Miami. The addition of Bush would bode well for rookie Daniel Thomas, who would likely still dominate carries in that scenario. Bush would handle third downs and probably return punts.

Miami seems like a perfect fit for him... at least playing time wise. He's a pretty good blocker and does well catching ball out the backfield. He would be a big boost to their offense one would think.

Everyone is entitled to be stupid, but some abuse the privilege.

All little common sense goes a long way.

He's in the perfect environment to be very good. It's likely that if he goes somewhere else the fans could turn on him real soon if he's not productive.

If Miami made the same trade for Bush as they did for Rickey I'd be happy.
