This would make sense. I think Reggie's biggest chance of succeeding would be if he returned to the West Coast...more specifically SoCal. That would mean San Diego, which has become the LA team for lack of anything better.
Yuck...wouldn't you hate to have to pull for the little snot Philip Rivers? He reminds me of a Ryan Leaf with talent. |

Now we know why Reggie made those strategic comments about injuries and turf... He is trying to set up a bidding war. His value goes up if more than one team is interested in him, besides the Saints.
Nothing's happened yet, of course. But this latest rumor/speculation plays into my "theory" again -- that if he leaves the Saints, Reggie Bush is most likely going to go to a team that is having attendance or marketing troubles, off the field. A team that needs jersey sales, bodies in the stadium, and TV blackouts lifted. San Diego, Tampa Bay, Oakland, St. Louis, maybe Miami. Someplace like that -- some team that's in the bottom third of attendance, ticket sales and revenue will want him. An owner like that would be willing to pay him MORE than what he's worth on the field, just to get people to go to the games or buy merchandise. |

These Bush threads are getting as bad as the Aaron Brooks threads from eight years ago. The madness would slow down if the NFL would just end the friggin lockout. These days are like Chinese water torture. |
