This is signing bonus teams used to persuade big name UFA with up to 20k signing bonus now I think it won't be more then 5k maybe 10k
but if they make the team they will make at least 50k more that they made last season because the minimum salary went up in this new CBA and will go up 15k every season. So with this is a way of saying earn your money you will make more but you have to make the team.
Also performance bonuses will still be in effect if a player with a low salary out performs by playing time his contract he get a bonus by the league at the end of the season.
