So, in your opinion, the only times the refs can really be at fault is when both teams plays up to WhoDat\'s standard? That\'s real funny. I\'ll keep that in mind the next time the refs make another bad call. I\'ll think to myself -- \"oh well, it doesn\'t matter because the Saints didn\'t play up to WhoDat\'s standards, therefore they don\'t deserve to win any damn way.\" I\'m glad you cleared that up for me.

This is getting old. The Saint lost the game, plan and simple, the reps didn\'t lose it for us the players and coaching staff did. You know, shoulda, coulda, woulda means nothing!!!!!!!

And yes the Saints had four tries to put it in the end zone and they didn\'t. Shame on them. Come back and make the best play of all times and miss the extra point!!!!!!!!!!

No way else but the Saint\'s!!!!!!!!!!!

Something needs to change and change fast. One thing for sure is our play calling SUCKS, and I don\'t know if that comes from the inability of AB to run an offense or our offensive coordinator inability to put one together.

But for the LOVE OF GOD the Saint\'s fan deserve at least one year of a Great football team and a super bowl win!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good points Bayou. Yes Billy, the Saints lost this game for the Saints, not the refs. Did the refs give Taylor 194 yards rushing? Did the refs miss the extra point? Did the refs call the ridiculously dumb dives on short yardage plays? Did they?

Whatever, it\'s a ridiculous debate and once again, Flapjack is stretching for the syrup. Not worth arguing.

On a completely diferent note: Venturi/Haslett\'s insistance on running Deuce in the 0-3 holes on short yardage downs has been almost as ridiculous this season as has Everest\'s lack of middle wedge calls on kick returns. I mean, did the Saints EVER once pick up a first down on short yardage when it mattered this season? I can\'t remember a time? All I remember is terrible play calls and failures.

I don\'t think the refs cost us the game yesterday, although, they sure didn\'t help. I do however think refs have cost us games in the past, and that it is not fair to say that because the saints didn\'t play up to someone\'s expectation that the bad call was meaningless and we deserved to lose. But, that\'s just my \"flapjack\" way at looking at things.

I know you guys want to see this team play more consistant, but DAMN!!!

One thing for sure is that we all want the Saints to play well and be a great team. Guess what, as much as I hate to say it, THEY ARE NOT!!!

Billy, WhoDat, and all the other people are all correct in some small way.
What I think Whodat and other are saying is, if you are happy with the way Brooks played this year something is wrong. I for one am not happy with the way he played this year. That doesn\'t mean I don\'t like him are don\'t think he can do it. It is plan and sample, Brooks did not come through on the field this year PERIOD. I don\'t care how good his stats are I watched every game, and that is all I need. And I don\'t put all the blame on him, but he is the guy that runs our offense.

Good teams find a way to win when they are not playing to their best, and the Saint\'s just can\'t do it.

I think it is mosly Coaching what is wrong with this team!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That\'s not what I\'m saying. I think that if I have to have another Brooks discussion I might just put my head through the monitor.

What I am saying that if you think an offense that could only score 9 points (6 of those coming on a miraculous last second 3 lateral 75 yard play) is deserving of winning a game, yet the refs cheated you out of it, then something might just be a bit off in your perspective. There may be some syrup on your goggles and you may be drinking tang with your pancakes.

My point is that the Saints didn\'t play well enough to win yesterday and to say that the refs stole it from us is assinine. We lost that game, the refs just helped throw dirt on our coffin.

Oh, I got it. What you are saying is that Carolina doesn\'t deserve to be in the playoffs. I mean after all.................How many games did they luck up and win? And, how many games did the refs give them? Who the hell cares? They are in and they deserve to be in, but not according to your logic. When do you decide who \"deserves\" to win?

So you thought this team played well enough yesterday to deserve a win?

Was it the 60 yards rushing, or the 243 we allowed? How about our 33% red-zone efficiency? That\'s playoff material right there.

You know what? I don\'t even know why I\'m having this discussion. Flapjack strikes again!

Anyone who actually watches football without syrup blurred goggles, or copious amounts of Tang, realizes that the refs have hurt us pretty bad a couple of times this season, but in ALL of those games, the Saints could have made any one or a few plays that would have made the missed calls basically meaningless. The SAINTS lost those games, not the refs.

But hey Billy, how many coaches do you hear talking about how the refs losts games for them? A whole lot huh? Take another bite of those pancakes and wash it down with some more Tang.

You dang right I thought they played well enough to win. Regardless of what happened in the game, the Saints were able to keep the game close. Just because they ran for 194 yards doesn\'t mean they are not worthy of winning. After all, the defense picked off two passes, blocked a field gaol, and made numerous other plays to keep the Jaguars off the score board. It\'s not like the Jaguars didn\'t make NUMEROUS mistakes in the game also. Did the Jags not deserve to win. Who cares about all that BS. We kept the game close and if we would have won. we would have deserved it as much as them.

Man, you need to get over who \"deserved to win.\" We lost and we deserved to lose. If we would have won, we would have deserved to win. Plain and simple!!!
