He may only be average in pass protection, but his ability to pull and block at the 2nd level is outstanding.

This was a VERY smart move by Loomis and co. Now they can take a little time to find his replacement. As I said in other posts, he needs to be replaced, but its not urgent enough to go out and do it in a shortened offseason.

Good news. I would've been OK with Strief or Brown at LT but now we don't have to worry about it. there are certainly better left tackles than Bushrod but this gives us a decent starter with continuity for the line which is a big big deal.

Now let's get Goodwin and Nicks done.

Perfect scenario! This will give us time to see if C. Brown can develop into a starter while maintaining a NFL-quality starting LT in Bushrod.
