Its fantasy. Has no bearing on how much better or worse of a QB Brees is than Vick.

lmao you cant take this as a literal article in terms of fantasy quarterbacks yes i can see Vick on par or even above par with all of the top quarterbacks. In fantasy football Vick is given a great edge due to his ability to run with the football. He's like a Quarterback+Running Back in Fantasy Football.

I've never played FF. I know it's stat driven of course but I also thought it had other factors in there as far as FF draft rankings mainly injuries/missed games. If a player puts up mad stats but has missed significant playing time it would seem their ranking would drop considerably.

It goes by how many points they got last year and how many projected this year. I can see Vick being higher due to rushing and passing.

So, no, if they put up mad stats, you draft them and then dance with glee. A little preparation counters the negatives. |

Vick's Value in Fantasy Football

Vick didn't lead all QB in scoring last year, because that honor went to Tom Brady with Aaron Rodgers finishing a close second. Vick was 4th behind Brady, Rodgers, & Manning. So you see that injuries are in fact a concern in fantasy and shouldn't be ignored. However, for those owners who draft on potential, Vick did dominate in the all-important statistic "Fantasy Points Per Game". Vick scored 29.1 fantasy points per game (he only played 12 games) while the closest player to that was Aaron Rodgers with 23.9 fantasy points per game. This means that Vick was almost a full TD per-game better than all other fantasy quarterbacks using FPPG. That's huge but again, its a calculate risk. I created a website where you can create fantasy football cheat sheets using drag and drop. On my quarterback rankings page you can see my rankings and also view how each QB performed using the TFP (Total Fantasy Points) and the FPPG statistic. Hope this helps someone. 2011 NFL Quarterback Rankings |
