While most people are focused on their top 2 picks Marcell Dareus and Aaron Williams, I believe people should be looking further down, specifically at 3rd round pick Kelvin Sheppard.

He endeared himself to the Bills coaching staff at the Senior Bowl where he showed that he was truly a sideline-to-sideline inside linebacker that is athletic, football smart, and a true 3-down player. The biggest attribute he will bring to a young Bill's defense is his leadership, he was voted as a team captain at LSU and led a very young defense that was one of the best in the nation, leading that unit in tackles in '09 and '10 and ranking 3rd in the SEC while earning 1st-team All-Conference (no small feat in the nation's best conference).
Okay Rookie, Stop being confused, study the playbook harder, and get ready to crack some heads...

I think it's more of a LSU reference.

Is is about a rookie LB stepping up in Buffalo, and that Wilson needs to do the same in New Orleans - no excuses?

Sheppard was arguably the best MLB the past 3 seasons in the SEC... one of the top in college football. He's very polished and is more NFL ready than Wilson. Chavis is one of best coaches in the history of college football and his specialty is linebackers. It's no surprise to see him coming along so quickly.

There's nothing wrong with us developing Wilson at the rate that we are. He's going to get there. Plenty of the first and second round LB draft picks aren't sitting at the top of their depth chart either. No need to rush this and we've done a fine job developing our own.

Everyone is entitled to be stupid, but some abuse the privilege.

All little common sense goes a long way.
