Marvin Mitchell signs with Dolphins
Dolphins sign Marvin Mitchell
by Aaron Wilson of Scout.com, August 15, 2011 at 12:13 am ET Marvin Mitchell Profile The Miami Dolphins have signed former New Orleans Saints inside linebacker Marvin Mitchell, according to a league source with knowledge of the situation. Mitchell is a former Saints seventh-round draft pick who played collegiately at Tennessee. Mitchell, 26, signed a three-year contract in 2007 and was assigned to the practice squad. He was promoted as a rookie when Scott Fujita got hurt. The 6-foot-3, 249-pounder recorded 46 tackles, two forced fumbles and one sack last season in 16 games for New Orleans. Mitchell has 89 tackles in four NFL seasons. Scout.com: Marvin Mitchell Profile |

I think he may fit in quite well there. Don't they run a 3-4 now (I can't remember)? He'd probably make a good 3-4 ILB.

Dansby is set as a starting ILB... don't know if Mitchell can challenge Burnett for tthe other starting spot..? |
