As for FA OTs my top 3 to at least consider would probably be:
- Max Starks, 7 years with the Steelers, 29 so some years left if there are no health concerns.
- Shaun Andrews, 7 years of experience also (first 6 with the Eagles and last one with the Giants), 28 years old, has battled some depression in the past.
- Nick Kaczur, 6 years with the Patriots, but didn't play at all last year, so there might be a health problem, at 32 he's the oldest of the bunch.
I'm not saying that any of them would definitely be better than Strief, but they are just some still without a team... all were released by their teams.
